What can you do…..

Create a habitat for frogs
Maintain a worm farm for your tuckshop scraps
Involve students in organised activites such as Clean Up Australia Day, Weedbuster Week and Arbor Day
Help out a local Bushland Care revegetation site
Set up your own revegetation area and permaculture garden
Invite a Habitat Brisbane officer into your classroom

Create a habitat for frogs

An unused courtyard can be converted into frog habitat

Lomandra can be used as a frog-friendly garden edge.

Use an old bathtub

You can use a plastic pond liner - but it is easily damaged! You can also use plastic tubs full of water spinach and tadpoles

Clearing weeds can leave bare sites with little habitat. Guinea grass comes up when lantana is removed!

Set up your own revegetation area and permaculture garden

A small plant nursery in the permaculture site. Chooks! Interesting for students but lots of work for teachers.

Invite a Habitat Brisbane Officer to your classroom
