What is Wildlife Queensland? The advantages of our partnership with WPSQ What does WPSQ do? Why join WPSQ? How do I contact or join WPSQ? Our network and Wildlife QueenslandThe Kedron Brook Catchment Network (KBCN) operates informally. Our Network also needs organised and administrative structures and procedures. Early in 2002, the network formed the Kedron Brook Catchment Branch (KBCB) of Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland (WPSQ) to undertake the network’s various formal activities. The formal decision was made at a special meeting held on 30 April 2002. This led to the the first AGM meeting of the incorporated KBCB-WPSQ on 27 August 2002. WPSQ was already a supporter of our network and the Brook’s environment. The network continues as before however. WPSQ Director Jan Oliver and Interim Branch President Philip Rowland 'lead the ayes';

What is Wildlife Queensland?Wildlife Queensland is formally called the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland, with acronym WPSQ (generally pronounced wip-skew), and is one of Queensland’s oldest, largest and most respected conservation groups. The organisation started in 1962, with poet Judith Wright a founding member. WPSQ is based in Brisbane and presently has 24 state branches and over a thousand members. Limited funding means membership fees and tax-deductible donations constitute the bulk of income. With only two paid staff, activities are largely undertaken by dedicated volunteers, branches and other like-minded groups. WPSQ Partnership provides our network with a number of advantages.
WPSQ encourages its branches to individually incorporate at their own discretion. This enables them to manage their own affairs while still accessing WPSQ supportstructures. What does Wildlife Queensland (WPSQ) do?
